GWO is a non-profit industry association founded and owned by its members who are drawn from globally leading renewable energy manufacturers, owners and operators. The members strive for an injury free work environment, setting common international standards for safety training and workforce development.
GWO training standards describe the requirements for training courses that are recommended be members of GWO. By complying with GWO standards and criteria, certified training providers are considered competent and proficient. Any training participant with a current training record in GWO’s WINDA database is considered competent and knowledgeable according to the learning objectives of that standard. GWO members accept the training record as confirmation the participant possesses the required knowledge and competences as described in the standard.

After successfully completed this BST Working at heights module, the participants have the ability to act safely and responsibly when using basic personal fall protection equipment and performing comprehensive basic rescue from heights in a remote wind turbine environment.
This course is not designed to test the participants capability and aptitude from working at height, i.e. it is not a test for fear of heights or designed to overcome fear from heights.
