The members strive for an injury free work environment, setting common international standards for safety training and workforce development.<\/p>\n<p>GWO training standards describe the requirements for training courses that are recommended be members of GWO. By complying with GWO standards and criteria, certified training providers are considered competent and proficient. Any training participant with a current training record in GWO\u2019s WINDA database is considered competent and knowledgeable according to the learning objectives of that standard. GWO members accept the training record as confirmation the participant possesses the required knowledge and competences as described in the standard.<\/p>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>minimum age of 18 years;<\/li>\n<li>medically fit;<\/li>\n<li>the participant shall have created a personal profile in <a href=\"https:\/\/winda.globalwindsafety.org\/register\/course-participant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">WINDA<\/a>, and have provided their WINDA ID prior to completing the GWO training;<\/li>\n<li>when attending refresher training, the course participants must do so before the expiry of the previous training record\u2019s validity period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Duration<\/h3>\n<p>one day training course<\/p>\n<h3>Validity<\/h3>\n<p>2 years<\/p>\n<h3>Outcome<\/h3>\n<p>The aims of this module are, by theoretical and practical training, to give the participants the ability to act safely and responsibly and to take the correct preventive actions in all aspects of offshore operations from shore to installation vessel (or WTG) and vice versa.
