The GWO Instructor Qualification Training (IQT) is the official Global Wind Organisation program designed to prepare instructors to deliver GWO-certified courses in the wind industry. This course establishes a structured, assessable pedagogical foundation built on adult learning principles, the GWO Taxonomy Framework, and participant-centred training methodologies.
At SOLO Training, we deliver the GWO IQT in accordance with the latest GWO Instructor Qualification Standard (V1), ensuring that future instructors gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to teach safely, effectively, and professionally in high-risk environments.
The IQT is a prerequisite for entering other specific GWO Instructor Qualification schemes and is the first step toward becoming a certified GWO instructor.
This course is designed for:
Aspiring GWO instructors with no prior vocational teaching experience
Technical professionals transitioning into training roles
Industry specialists who want to become certified GWO trainers
Training providers developing new instructional staff
Participants must meet GWO prerequisites, including relevant vocational qualifications and industry experience.
