Because of the very generic scope that covers general components and functionalities of small fixed cranes and hoists\, further familiarisation or additional equipment specific training must be expected on the actual work site. Furthermore\, the requirement to follow the relevant lifting equipment manufacturers’ manuals as well as legislation and duty holders’ procedures is emphasised throughout the standard.
