About us

SOLO was established in 1992, by Tiberiu Kantor. As a rope access company, being a pioneer at that time. Until 2007, the main activity of the company was to provide rope access services in factory halls (painting and cleaning), telecommunications (building telecom towers), oil and gas industry (painting, blasting, welding, NDT).

Since 2007 the training department of the company was created. SOLO got the IRATA (Industrial Rope Access Trade Association) training certification (as one of the first member company excluding UK) and SPRAT (Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians) membership (as one of the first member from Europe). In 2017 we passed the audit and became GWO (Global Wind Organisation) training provider. As a training company, we also provide tailored courses for working at height for construction, telecom, roof workers, confined space entry. In 2017 SOLO made an agreement with ISU Brasov (Inspectorate of Emergency Situations) on preparing their rope rescue team in rescues from height. With them, we’ve participated at Grimpday in 2018 and 2019.

In 2015 SOLO opened the gear shop and PPE inspection department, sell professional working at height, rope access and rescue equipment. We are selling: Harken, Petzl, Singing Rock, CMC, Kong
